Waiting in line

01/12/2022

Today's journaling prompt is:  Write about waiting in line.

For someone with ADHD waiting in line (or being stuck in traffic) is synonymous to getting a tooth pulled without Novocain.   It's painful.  If you go to a grocery store and watch people in line, I can promise you the one swaying without any music is the person with ADHD.  We have to do something to occupy ourselves while standing there and swaying always seems to be the best option.  Well, that and striking up a conversation with the person behind you.  That doesn't always go so well though.  Sometimes you meet someone who is just as chatty and looking forward to passing the time.
